She is described as "a somewhat deformed, unattractive albino woman" who spent her time in thunder storms and studying her father's occult tomes. In 1913, she gave birth to Wilbur Whateley, a "dark, goatish-looking infant" whom neighbors called "Lavinny's black brat". The father was unknown at the time, but later revealed to be the entity Yog-Sothoth. On Halloween night in 1926, Lavinia disappeared under mysterious circumstances, presumably killed or sacrificed by her son Wilbur.
